Andrew Geller is a filmmaker/editor, multimedia artist and musician living in Philadelphia, PA, on occupied Lenni Lenape territory. Through visual storytelling and documentary focused projects, Andrew supports community, social and environmental justice organizations. He helped launch Woodshop Films in the mid 2000s. Working with this independent, multimedia production house, Andrew led the post-production of Hard Coal: Last of the Bootleg Miners, a feature documentary about the last remaining independent anthracite coal miners in the United States and the crushing injustices they face. Through Woodshop Films, Andrew helped create Scrapple TV, a virtual pirate TV channel providing a platform for local news, arts, music and culture. Filmmaking projects have allowed him to travel, most memorably to Istanbul, Turkey. Andrew co-founded E.D.G.E., an arts and activism group focused on ending dirty gas exploitation by encouraging the development of a green economy. He plays music and produces videos with his star trekkified, sci-fi, rock n roll, comedy cabaret band, The Roddenberries. He is currently working with Public Herald as a filmmaker, editor, researcher and multimedia wizard for TRIPLE DIVIDE [REDACTED], INVISIBLE HAND and other investigative reports.
